I just bought deep red sheets and a white comforter to go with my new bed. What colour should my bedskirt be? White or red? Bonus question…if I get sick of the white and buy a duvet cover, what goes well with deep red? Besides black, ew. ---

I would probably go with a white bed skirt - then you have the option of folding the duvet back and showing the red, or folding it up and choosing a decorative pillow of another colour for a different look. To match red, depending on the shade, pink is sometimes kind of pretty - UBER girly, but pretty. Depending on the shade again, pale blue could work, light grey, silver, gold (the last two would be pretty flashy - sort of brothel-esque). ---

Don’t use a red skirt. It is too inflexible with other colors and not the best choice anyway. White would work but it doesn’t have to be bright white. A slight off-white would work if the red has some rust color to it. ---

I always match the duvet cover to the vallance. I second the suggestion of pale blue or silver to go with the deep red if you want a change from white. ---

Since you’re already considering a duvet cover, I’d go with a neutral for the bedskirt. If you don’t want white, a tan or wheat color looks nice with a lot of colors. ---

I’d still go with white for the bedskirt, if the comforter is white. A tan skirt will just look dirty with a white comforter unless it’s a darker tan. If you do get a duvet cover, match the bedskirt to that. ---

Federal or midnight blue. Both provide contrast to either a white comforter or a deep red (cranberry?) duvet. ---

White, because then you’re not stuck! Before i had a platform arrangement, I always went with a white bedskirt. And then liven up your bed (if you’re a girl) with some good toss pillows. ---

Well, I got a white bedskirt, and with the bed made, the red sheets are covered up entirely…so it’s just a sea of white with two red pillows. Not appealing. I’ve ordered a red bedskirt that matches the sheets…we’ll see how that looks. As for the duvet suggestions…I don’t think I could pull of the pink. Girly is right! I do like the idea of grey or silver. Blue might be a bit dark for the room. I’ll post pics when my bedskirt arrives!
