# Bee Pollen - The Facts

A friend has just arrived back from Bulgaria after a trip to visit family, and is waxing lyrical about her new diet seemingly composed entirely of honey and bee pollen. Now I’ve already made my concerns clear to her in regard to the starvation diet she has embarked upon, but the claims that were made to her about the almost supernatural health benefits that the pollen offered have piqued my interest.
After further investigation (Google is my friend) the only ‘information’ I seem to be able to dig up is highly questionable and grandiose claims made by, shock horror, those hawking the stuff. Wiki has a brief paragraph at the end of its entry on pollen stating:
