Home. I went to the office. Except for a few sneeze-a-thons, I felt OK. More sleep would have been nice, but such is life. **tarra** , I hesitate to tell you, but I found out today that I’m essential. At least, the team I’m on is considered essential, so I’ll be at work Monday regardless. Honestly, I was kinda hoping for a few days off. Oh well. I’m also leaning more and more towards retiring at the end of the year. I can get the incentive pay which will wipe out our truck loan with a little extra to spare, plus I’ll sell back a bunch of vacation time, which will plump up the savings account plus give us something to live on until my pension checks start. I dunno - it’s really tempting… I don’t have to make the decision for a few more months. So tempting… Taz is on _The List_ - he just peed in the love seat behind me. I sprayed the enzyme stuff on it, and now I need to get the cleaner out. Stoopit cat. Mebbe I’ll post later, mebbe not. I’m al mysterious that way. 😃 ---

But… but… but… if the aliens bomb Long Island, from whence will we get our iced teas? 😃 Howdy Y’all! I irked (went to large and in charge Camilla to do a presentation and was fed **N.O.L.**. WIN!), came home, went to the church house for soup 'n sammich and Evening Prayer. I also got a count for Firday night’s fish ‘n chips followin’ Stations of The Cross and took the catfsh filets out of da freezer and into da fridge cause, well, thawed out filets fry up better. Also I made sure coleslaw is lined up to go with. Then I ran my mouth with our Deacon for half an hour. He’s fun to talk to. Thus has been my day. Now I shall go lie upon the bed and watch teevee. Although I work at a very large military medical treatment facility, I am not essential. At least not yet… I have to say, this is the first time I’ve actually been worried about the potential shutdown. There won’t be backpay either. Worse, our soldiers won’t be paid. That, right there, is wrong on all fronts. We can’t afford to miss any of my pay. I’m sweating things now, damn it. Do you know the Republicans actually cheered while in conference today when Boehner said the shutdown is a very real possibility. The bastards _cheered._:mad: Eff them all with the rustiest of razors right up their asses. They are playing with peoples lives, damn it. ---

3 more weeks until vacation! I still need to buy luggage - my carry-ons are now checked bags. I’m interviewing pet sitters this weekend. My old 2 cats hated people with a passion and were more traumatized when I had someone come in than leaving them alone. Tisiphone gets upset when I’m a half hour late from work. I have no idea how she’s going to handle me being gone for 5 days. I’m hoping by sleeping and not by peeing everywhere. I’m currently working on [this shawl](http://www.knitspot.com/knitting_pattern/pea-vines-p-380.html) in a very pretty shade of green. I love her designs and she’s teaching the advanced lace class I’m taking at the end of the month. So excited! ---

It’s the only piece of furniture I haven’t sold yet, people want “tresillos” (sofa+2 armchairs). If I’d put a tresillo in this living room I would have had to go from one door to the other walking over the furniture. ---

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’ _YAWN_ ‘Tis 44 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 84. It’s one of those start off with a jacket over short sleeves and by late mornin’ go put jacket in twuck since if I just take it off and hang it up in the office it’ll stay there. I’m five years old when it comes to keepin’ up with jackets, umbrellas and the like. 😃 **Taters** I’m with **Nava**. I have a pretty good command of the English language but I have no words for that. I can, however, help ya look for rusty razors. :mad: Yay for upcomin’ vacation **Shadow**! Blurf. I ordered a set of lights for my bicycle last night, 'cuz I have a near irresistable urge to ride to work instead of driving the 3 miles one way, and it’s still darker than the boots of the High Sheriff of Hell at 6 AM. I wanna get thinner, but I don’t want tire tracks on my thin parts. That is, of course, provided that I can avoid arrest for prostitution. Why? Pedaling my ass across town. Need. More. WTHU. Carry on. ---

Sorry about that folks. I was obviously very angry when I wrote that. Throwing the possibility I won’t receive pay on top of all the other crap I’ve got raining down on me is about to send me sailing over the edge. It’s another day here in the salt mines.
