Unnamed beer has 102 calories, 5.0 grams of carbs. 0.7 grams of protein, and 0.0 grams of fat.

(5_4)+(.7_4)=22.8 calories where are the other 79.2 calories from?

Every other food I’ve applied this formula to, the number add up except for beer. What’s the deal?

Alcohol has 7 calories per gram.

Average is 5% alcohol, a 12 ounce beer = about 355ml. or 17.75ml of ethyl alcohol @ [.79gm/ml](http://www.howstuffworks.com/question532.htm) = 14.0225gm \* 7cal/gm = 98.1575 calories per beer from alcohol; so at 79.2 calories from alcohol, your Unammed Beer must be that damned “light beer”.
