# Beer and cheese soup - Has anyone tried it?

I start with this recipe. I normally use pale ales for the beer, but used part of a Guiness one time. I also tried a mix of white and sharp cheddars. Half the fun of making soups is experimenting.

I made that one a couple times when I lived in a shared house and there would be stale beer around after parties. I remember liking it well enough, but the cheese left my mouth filmy.

Yes, there is. It’s listed on the label as **Beer (Malted Barley, Corn Syrup, Hops, Yeast)**.
