Rocky Mountain Oyster Stout. Made by the brewmaster at our (CO) Governor’s brewpub. This is not a joke.

> [@](#):
>
> We’re certain that this is the ballsiest canned beer in the world. We believe it’s also the nation’s first twopack of cans.
> The beer is made in tiny 8-barrel batches (instead of our usual, already small 20-barrel batch) and is the first in our new Even Smaller Batch Series of beers. (A barrel of beer equals 31 gallons and two standard 15.5 gallon kegs.)
> Head brewer Andy Brown developed the beer’s recipe.
> A meaty foreign-style stout, Rocky Mountain Oyster Stout is made with Colorado base malts, roasted barley, seven specialty malts, Styrian Goldings hops, and 25 pounds of freshly sliced and roasted bull testicles.
> Rocky Mountain Oyster Stout is an assertive, viscous stout with a rich brown/black color, a luscious mouthfeel and deep flavors of chocolate, espresso and nuts. The beer sports a savory, umami-like note and a roasty dry finish.
> Rocky Mountain Oyster Stout is 7.5% ABV and 3 BPBs. (That’s balls per barrel.)

Maybe not for the queasy types.

Go to Coopersmiths in Ft. Collins. Get real beer - vast selection - containing no high wierdness. Well, except Sigda’s Ghost Chili beer. That might be a bit wierd.

I’ll quote myself from 15 minutes ago in the “Strange Brew” thread:

Reviews aren’t great, though note that e.g. at least 1 gave it 1 star because PETA.

RMOs taste pretty good by themselves.

Yeah. When you’re drinking artisinal beers it’s a good move to keep track of their alcohol content.

You ain’t kidding. Couple weeks ago I picked up something from Boulevard Brewing Co., which makes fine beer. I forget what this stuff was called. Anyway it came in a 750 ml bottle. I figured, OK, that’s not even two pints. Two pints of beer is nothing. Except that this beverage was like 20% alcohol. After polishing off my 750 ml of “beer” in less than 30 minutes I felt a bit woozy.

The wife and I shared a Breakside IPA on the deck. Love that citrus punch.

There’s a restaurant here called The Blind Tiger. They have good food and a fine micro brewing operation. I just tried something called Smokey the Beer, which has a slightly “smoked” taste from part of the brewing process. Take to long to type it up. Quite tasty actually, especially as I like dark beers.

Let me fourth that and further mention that’s especially true with one of my favorite beers, [Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout](http://www.northcoastbrewing.com/beers/year-round-beers/old-rasputin-russian-imperial-stout/?ao_confirm). Russian imperial stouts are so smooth you wouldn’t know they’re often 10% abv or more unless you read the label first.
