# Before Kotex----What was used?

Because menstration is not the result of a wound. Scabs only form over a deep break in subcutaneous and cutaneous tissue. No surface tissue has been broken during menstration. An analogy would be a nose bleed. Blood comes out of a cavity that is already there. So, no scab would form.

(and handy, I gotta say, that’s just sick, man.)

This reminds me of the South Park Movie…  
Mr. G: …your mom’s are probably on their periods or somthing  
Gregory: Mr. Garrison, Wendy and I believe that was a sexist statement.  
Mr. G: Well, I’m sorry Wendy, I just don’t trust anything that bleeds for 5 days and doesn’t die…
