I have seen _I Am Curious (Yellow)_, and I remember nothing about a door knob. I do remember that it was not hard core porn, which is what you are implying. ---

Another film that qualifies as arty porn would be _Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland_, which was an attempt at porn comedy. Starring Kristine DeBell, who went on a few years later to co-star with Bill Murray in _Meatballs_. ---

Very interesting book.
