# Behold! The Power of "Dude"

Many Dude-eriffic forces seem to be converging over the past few weeks, and it seemed worth commenting on:

- The impending release of \*\*Harold and Kumar Escape Guantanamo Bay \*\* - Dude!

- Those recent beer ads featuring Joe Buck embracing the Power of Dude. Dude - they’re funny and all…but…Dude…

- The recent thread espousing a remake of Bill & Ted - very cool, medieval ugly Dudes!

- Juno, featuring spot-on Dude-usage

- This overview (no doubt due to H&K coming out) on MSNBC of [Duuuude - 5 all time great movie stoners](http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/24226955/) - Duuuude.

- If I may point out something of my own doing - there is [this thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=463466) on jargon from IMHO, punctuated by a variety of Dude invocations - I happen to think that the use of Dude in Falconry is by far the coolest, HawkDude!

- [This thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=464823) asking for info on Argentine Dude ranches, to which I had to post simply to say “Dude!”

So - how do you think the power of Duuuude has been captured best, Dude?
