I had a children’s encyclopedia (I think it had Peanuts characters) that reported that a delicacy in the Middle East involved something like that. I remember it was a sheep stuffed inside a camel, but I don’t remember any of the more progressively smaller things. I think birds were somewhere in the mix, but that’s about it. ---

[Hebert’s Specialty Meats](http://www.hebertsmeats.com/) claims to be the “original” home of the turducken. I haven’t had their turducken, but when I worked in Maurice, LA I got hooked on the stuffed pork chops.
