There has already been several threads about renaming terms and items that have any _French_ influence. Lets just gather them all up with your take on theire substitution. _French Fries_ —\> Freedom Fries or American Fries _French Toast_ —\> Belgian Toast _French Kissing_ —\> Soul Kissing _Pardon my French_ —\> Pardon my American _Frenching_ —\> Licking or surrendering _Hor’devours_ —\> Pigs in a blanket or weiniees _haute couture_ —\> snooty fashion stuff _je ne sais pas_ —\> I dont know _vive la France_ —\> up yours 😃 ---

Yeah, this whole thing was sort-of amusing when some self-promoting diner owner in North Carolina or whatever started serving “freedom fries.” But the whole thing got old pretty quickly. And [now](http://www.cnn.com/2003/ALLPOLITICS/03/11/sprj.irq.fries/index.html) that a Congressional Committee has directed the cafeterias on Capitol Hill to do the same thing, it’s lost whatever hokey redneck charm it once had and has just become another laughable example of a particular type of narrow-minded American parochialism. Would you like fries with that? ---
