We have a couple grey and charcoal kittens from a litter that was rescued from a stump. One is called Red, for rather obvious reasons. His sister, I think, may come to be known as Eva\*   \*(short for Eva D. Struxion) ---

The book “The Dam Busters” about RAF bombers destroying dams in Germany during World War II (a highly dangerous and technically difficult feat) mentions a dog belonging to one of the crew, a black dog, whose name began with “N” and ended with “r”. ---
