I recall hearing a song being played in the Delarge house and realizing that portmanteau composition can drastically affect meaning, and you might not be able to discern the spacing verbally. Was she singing “I want to marry a light housekeeper” or “I want to marry a lighthouse keeper” ? The difference is significant. ---
