Certainly within the commonly understood level of service from fast food restaurants. Salads coming after the main course sides late that is fucked up service for an $80 meal. This is very far outside the bounds of commonly understood level of service for a nice restaurant. And abusing the staff did help they got their meal comped. ---

But these were remarkable circumstances, and they were dealt with by management. Sometimes shit happens, which results in unsatisfactory results (in this case, service). Were there no attempt to make things right, I might agree with you. But they got their meal for free. The average price for a meal is more like $10-15. I think the OP meant the table’s total bill including beer was maybe $80. Kriegers isn’t bad, but it’s on par with places like Applebees.\* \*if the OP was in fact actually at some other upscale place also called Kriegers, ignore this post ---

[/QUOTE] It’s probably worth pointing out that Krieger’s is a bar and grill type place, and probably wouldn’t go on anybody’s list of “nice” restaurants. It’s perfectly servicable, but nowhere near high end. I say $80 (which is entirely a guess) because there were four of them eating steak (one pasta) and salads, and drinking beer. I figure a steak and a couple of beers comes out to about $20. I didn’t mean to imply that they each had an $80 meal. ETA: **myskepticsight** beat me to it.
