Local gastropub, House of 1000 Beers, is having a beer and donut brunch on the 25th. A flight of Founders beers will be offered along with specially chosen donuts from Oakmont Bakery. Mmmmmm. In my mind I put this stuff right beside that novelty soft drink company that sells such product as turkey flavored pop. ---

Utah (and CO, and KS, and…) legal is 4.0% by volume (how everybody sane measures it), or 3.2% **by weight**. I have had beer ice cream. Tasted nothing like beer, but it was delicious. It is becoming pretty typical for breweries to paid with non-beer companies. I never worked up the nerve to try Voodoo Bacon Maple beer (also not cheap). ---

Beer’s alcohol percentage is usually expressed by volume. The only place I have encountered a difference is in regards to the 3.2 laws. In that case, the 3.2 refers to alcohol by weight, which corresponds to about 4.0 by volume. ---

IMO, the Maple Bacon beer is interesting, but I can’t drink more than a small glass. It’s a little too sweet and the bacon flavor gets old quickly.
