Benadryl Dependence?

I was about to correct you and say it’s actually doxylamine succinate in NyQuil, but it appears you are right. Anyone know why they use a different antihistamine in ZzzQuil than they do in their other products? Is doxylamine succinate not approved for insomnia for some reason?

I don’t know why they changed the ingredient for ZzzQuill. I assumed it was because they used to use it in NyQuil before they changed to the doxylamine which rendered it useless for me in helping me to sleep. Maybe others complained that now their NyQuil doesn’t work anymore like it stopped working for me and this was their response.

Also, NyQuil changed their tagline and it no longer says it helps stuffy heads.

Is it possible to become dependent on benadryl (Allergy Liqui-Gels, 25mg)?

I have been taking (only occasionally) one at night, to ease into sleep, per my MD’s orders.

I asked my doctor this question not 3 months ago as well as harmful effects if taken regularly over a long period of time!

He said no worries.
