Goodman’s recording of this piece (actually just the last half) by Alec Templeton was very popular. [Benny Goodman - Bach goes to Town - YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PxYzruJzk1I)

My question is about the clarinet’s opening notes. Was that a common riff? I’m asking because I recently thought that that’s what the clarinet was playing near the end of the orchestra’s [“jam session”](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NhM1-8UewxM&t=47) in “Fantasia”. I’m the one who added it to soundtracks for the film’s IMDb information. But if it’s a common riff, is crediting it to Alec Templeton incorrect?
