Actually a day or so ago I saw a Texas **[media](https://www.texastribune.org/2017/06/15/uttt-poll-texas-republicans-strongly-support-trump/)** quoting a Texas university survey of the local fauna which stated 80% of Texas Republicans give Donald the highly coveted tribute ‘ **competent** and 66% pronounce him **Honest and Trustworthy** ’. So he’s pretty popular with those of whom Flann O’Brien might have called: **The Plain Folk of Texas**. ---

You’re certainly in there pitching, but unless Texas secedes again (permitting Trump to be President of it), he’s really not doing all that well. It will be interesting to see the next poll. But back to Bernie and Jane: as of ten minutes ago, there is no word that charges have been filed. He won handily. Based on your numbers, he’d win even more handily now 🙂 ---

Sounds like he has considerable political acumen \*On April 3, 2014, Garcetti was joined by former President Bill Clinton in hosting a half-day conference on alternate energy and improvements of infrastructure. It was the first time Garcetti and Clinton had appeared together since his run for mayor the previous year, in which Clinton had endorsed Wendy Greuel. The former president referenced the race but accidentally said that Garcetti had been elected president, not mayor. Clinton told Garcetti that he “may become president one day.” On May 7, 2014, Garcetti greeted President Barack Obama when he arrived in Los Angeles. On November 5, 2015, Garcetti’s office issued a statement endorsing Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election, controversy emerging from the office using government resources to distribute a campaign-related proclamation.
