There is simply no way that an episode that contains the line “Hello, I’m Sexy!” and the TARDIS surprised to find that humans are “so much bigger on the inside” is the worst anything ever.
I never understood how anyone could consider Beer Bad the worst Buffy ep. It’s very funny, and there are any number of season 1 and 2 eps that are far worse.
Simpsons
Best: Cape Feare (Bob tries to kill Bart in what’s basically a Cape Fear parody)
Worst: Bart Mangled Banner or E. Pluribus Wiggum (garbage politically driven eps)
Nitpick: Attack of the Cybermen. Revenge of the Cybermen is a Tom Baker episode.
And, yeah, “The Doctor’s Wife” on the worst list? WHY? If I were to list my top 10 favorite episode of the entire series as I’ve seen it, “TDW” would be on the list, easy.
Among my favorite shows, one that hasn’t been mentioned already is My So Called Life, and I’d say that my favorite episode is The Life of Brian, while my least favorite is Dancing in the Dark.
Oh, and my favorite episode of Buffy is Once More with Feeling.
My absolute favoritest show of them all is The Wire, but the way it’s constructed makes it very hard to really pick out individual episodes as particularly good or bad. Although my least favorite episode would presumably be in season 5.
Six Feet Under
Best: The finale.
Worst: The car-jacking episode. So freakin’ stupid and contrived I started a thread about it. Seriously - who takes 4 hours to find an ATM in Lost Angeles?
Buffy
Best: Once More With Feeling.
Worst: (Tie). The one where Buffy is in an insane asylum. Look, guys, I’m investing my time in this show, OK? Telling me within the context of the show that all that time spent was wasted just pisses me off.
The episode featuring that blonde vampire who had a thing for freshman. I hated that character so much I refuse to watch the episode again.
Huh, I thought she was kinda interesting and thought it was a bit of a waste that she winds up dead at the end of the ep
Sherlock:
Best:
Scandal in Belgravia: Funny, sexy, believable (comparatively), with lots of Mycroft, who I love. Also lots of cool wallpaper in Irene’s apartment.
Runner-up:
A Study In Pink: Lots of character exposition, and the pace kept at a human level. I liked the taxi driver, too. Nice fake-out on the Mycroft character introduction.
Worst:
The Hounds of Baskerville: Lots of unbelievable shite stuck together in an awkward, contrived manner. Sherlock’s even more of a dick than usual.
Runner-up:
The Great Game: Too much complex stuff (especially the planetarium scene) going on, which got confusing. However, the final swimming pool scene with Moriarty was electrifying, so I’m on the fence with this episode.
I recommend re-watching it after you’ve seen “The Reichenbach Fall.” You’ll be amazed at how much foreshadowing there is going on.
Star Trek: TNG
Best: “All Good Things…” Such a great way to end the series
Worst: Darmok. I never got why people liked this. Picard and some alien with giant nostrils can’t talk to each other. Invisible lion. It sucked, just terrible. Runner up goes to Dr. Crusher and the ghost haunting her family, or the Riker love story with the shemale.
I was maybe too hard on them, but I did find them problematic. Martha Jones, black maid? I thought the BBC was more aware, than to risk upsetting people with that one…

I agree that The Body is the better episode of drama, but Hush is a better representative of a Buffy episode, if that makes sense? More witty quipping and monster sleuthing and fighting, the stuff that makes Buffy buff. But yes, The Body is technically excellent, and a real slice of humanity captured perfectly. Makes me bawl everytime.
I think I forget about the good bits of the sex-a-thon because I never watch it, but yes, Giles singing, and a particularly good sarcastic bit from Spike where he talks himself out of helping the Scoobies, should redeem it but still…

Best : Ozymandias - Walt loses everything and it’s fantastic.
Worst : Fly - everyone should agree with this one.
ROSEANNE:
Best : “Becky. Cut. The Cheese.” - Absolutely hysterical. “They say Hallmark makes a card for everything…what are the odds?”
Worst : Roseanne’s Dream - horrible musical number that wasn’t funny at all.
DEXTER:
Best : Hungry Man - Thanksgiving in the Trinity household - terrifying.
Worst : Series Finale - UGH.
SONS OF ANARCHY:
Best : NS (season 3 finale) - Agent Stahl meets her demise at the hands of Opie.
Worst : The whole Belfast storyline didn’t sit well with me at all.
