led zeppelin, of course…kickass vocals, amazing guitar, thundering guitar and bass, awesome blues/rock sound with a style completely their own…its no wonder they put out the best album of all time: Led Zeppelin II. ---

Tie: Rolling Stones pre 1983 and Bowie. Sheer popularity doesn’t make a great band: the Beatles wrote silly, inconsequential pop tunes for the most part–lot of money, no **juice**. ---

Well regardless of what you will say about Deep Purple, what will it take for people to realise that the Fender Stratocaster is by no means any sort of match for the Gibson Les Paul? Gibson epitomised all that is necessary for Coolness in a guitar in the Flying V. There is no contest. ---
