Have you listened to the albums before making this call? War is a “perfect album”, Joshua Tree has a quiet second side but as Only Mostly Dead noted, it’s good for atmosphere. Achtung Baby rocks from beginning to end, and after several years, they blew me away again with All That You Can’t Leave Behind. I would add that Rattle and Hum is close to perfect, the minuses being the now-dated pontificating in the live version of Silver and Gold (no, not a cover of the song from “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer”), and the unnecessary cover of Jimi Hendrix’s cover of Bob Dylan’s All Along The Watchtower. On the other hand, the live versions of Bullet the Blue Sky and I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For surpass their studio versions, IMHO.
