# Best Buy "Purchase" - Is this a scam?

Any time I can get a discount that outweighs the benefit of points or cash back on a card (typically 2% or higher) by paying cash, I do so. Most chain outfits don’t but independent businesses make an offer quite often. I’ve saved as much as 10%.

The OP didn’t mentioned whether there was a phone number anywhere on the receipt or email or if that phone number was different from the listed customer service number for Best Buy.

Same here. Every day there’s something in my gmail inbox that is not intended for me. Sheesh, even this morning there’s a survey from some US house rep asking me about my impression of your government’s handling of Covid19.

And every month I get a Sprint bill and receipt for some other kambuckta somewhere in the world.
