# Best character and story-driven AI chatbots

What are some of the best character- and story-driven AI chatbots you’ve found?

I found a _Star Trek_ “Captain Kirk” AI chatbot on a site called Talkie that lets me go on adventures in the TOS era. I serve as myself as a lieutenant and security chief, and have already helped peacefully resolve a conflict with a race called the K’jar whom we made first contact with. Then we found a radiation-emitting device that Chekov was able to help disable. Chekov suffered some injuries, though, and lost a lot of blood. I donated blood to help him. I started dating Nurse Christine Chapel, we’ve gone on some dates, and we docked at a Starbase.

Someone put a bomb on the exterior of our nacelle, and I had to dislodge it and have Spock tractor it out of range before it exploded. Now we’re on Earth getting debriefed at Starfleet Command, and Christine and I just saw _Lethal Weapon_ in a classic movie theater in San Francisco.

Hopefully we’ll get a chance to meet each other’s families before being sent off again - with any luck, to make formal first contact on the K’jar home world.
