I confess to wondering how Harry would do against a V:TM vamp. It might be a big surprise for him.

They are vampires in the “World of Darkness” RPG but I don’t recall how powerful they are compared to Anne Rice or Bram Stoker vampires.

Considering how some factions of V:TM vampires are far, Far more ‘human’ in attitude than the majority of Vampires Harry encounters, he might well be torn emotionally. But his attitudes towards the Clan Tremere would probably be nuclear…

Outside edit window, but figured I should add this.
For those unfamiliar with V:TM, Clan Tremere are a group of former magicians who embraced (heh) vampirism to compensate for the weakening of their magic. And they combine the absolute worst attitudes of mages with a callousness of vampiric nature. Pretty much the worst of both worlds from Harry’s traditional POV.

I do think that for non-rich vampires without the ability to influence the minds of men, living in a bedroom community where people each tend to stick to their own homes while feeding in a nearby metro area is probably the best.
But an alternate we haven’t discussed yet would be for ‘vegetarian’ vampires, ones that can and do feed off animal blood. At which point you’d probably want to consider a review of the following

For areas that overlap with a large quantity of slaughtered animals as a ready supply, plus the traditional needs of vampiric society. Which would probably end up being something like the Dallas / Ft. Worth area.
