I do in fact use quite a few one-liners from M/P’s Holy Grail, but the favorite in our family is probably “Your mother was a hamstair, and your father smelt—of elderberreez!” Anytime someone says “what?”, I have to mutter, “…is your quest?”…jeez, am I an old geek or what? My favorite and most oft-used misquote is from “A thousand Clowns”: “just imagine my surprise and delight” usually shortened to “imagine my delight” or hijacked into “imagine my disappointment” but must be said with the same deadpan sarcasm. Usually quite effective. ---
