# Best Doors Studio Album (POLL)

The Doors were only around in their core lineup for a short time, but they managed to bang out a lot of music in half a decade. I was born long after Jim Morrison joined the 27 Club, but I managed to get to see some of them (Krieger and Manzarek, plus the bassist and drummer from Krieger’s solo band, with Ian Astbury of the Cult on lead vocals) on their reunion tour in 2002, and it remains one of the best live shows I’ve ever seen, and I could honestly pick almost any of these (including the weird post-Morrison albums) as a desert island disc.

I voted for Morrison Hotel, but I really like all of the core albums. For road trip purposes my single disc go-to is The Very Best of The Doors.

I found it hard to choose between Strange Days, The Doors, and LA Woman, but went with Strange Days. On a different day I might have voted differently.
