Lots of good nominations in this thread. If I had to pick one it would probably be the Better Call Saul season finale.
Four very good shows that have not yet been mentioned:
-Crazy Ex-Girlfriend
-The Good Place
-The Americans
-Fargo
But I can’t say that any of them has a single super-standout episode.
I came here to say this, it really was amazing. The idea probably could have been turned into a blockbuster movie instead of a one hour TV show on netflix.
I remember watching the ending with my mouth open and wondering ‘did other people think this was amazing too’ and went online, and yup it was by far the favorite episode of black mirror most people.
Of course now, the episode has probably been so overhyped that it can’t live up to the hype. However I watched the episode on October 22nd, which was 1 day after it was released on netflix. So I was going in blind to the third season.
The third season was good, there were a few classics and a few duds, but even the duds were higher quality than an average episode of twilight zone, outer limits, night vision, masters of horror, etc.
