Subway does breakfast now too. Steak egg and cheese on an English muffin, toasted with green peppers. Amazing! And actually very nutritionally sound. Even a 6" puts you back under 500 calories. And they do breakfast all day, so I get them for lunch all the time (I’d rather sleep in than eat before work most mornings.)

> **ThelmaLou** , your location field says Texas. Whataburger, hands down. Since you need to lay off the carbs, I’d probably have to advise against their Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit even though it is the food of the gods themselves, but the rest of their breakfast stuff is fantastic. Their “taquitos,” which are just breakfast burritos, are really tasty, and I love their Egg Sandwiches: just a cooked egg and a slice of cheese on a burger bun.

You are right. I’ve been giving short shrift to Whataburger, ironic, as my late H was an executive with the company. Thanks for putting me back on the path.

Anything to this other than an egg and two pieces of bread?
