# Best film scores to otherwise weak movies?

I loved my [Mortal Kombat: Annihilation](http://www.amazon.com/Mortal-Kombat-Annihilation-Original-Soundtrack/dp/B000000GU2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1340308244&sr=8-1&keywords=mortal+kombat+annihilation+soundtrack) soundtrack. The movie, not so much. The Amazon reviews agree with me.

Any mediocre film with a Vangelis score has at least one thing to commend it.

I’d include “Chariots of Fire” in that group

Say what you want, but [Duel of the Fates](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zt0UuNpUqK4) is one of Williams’ best. It almost made the movie borderline watchable.

“Porky’s Revenge” soundtrack was put together by Dave Edmunds and features Edmunds, Robert Plant, George Harrison, Jeff Beck and the Fabulous Thunderbirds.
