Congratulations to the OP! You have possibly created the _only_ list where I would rank the Beatles song last. GDS is always skipped when I play _Revolver_ and is one of my least favorite Beatles songs ever. Even WoS is more listenable. ---

“Sunshine Day” by the Brady Kids. Ok just kidding. “Ain’t No Sunshine When She’s Gone” by Bill Withers got my vote (although Adam Again does an excellent version), just beating out Stevie Wonder. “Let the Sunshine In” by the cast of Hair gets honorable mention. ---

Now, if you had listed the **Eddie Grant** song, [Walking on Sunshine](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o5O0CevoZR8&feature=related) rather than the Katrina & the Waves song… It was a hit in the UK; don’t know about the US. I’d like to add something, but all I can think of (that hasn’t yet been mentioned) is that “Sunshine, Lollipops, rainbows, buttercups” buble-gum song. I don’t even know who does it. I’ll vote for Bill Whithers, it’s the best of the lot (even though, ironically enough, it’s the least “sunny” of the songs.) ---

OK, I voted for “Ain’t No Sunshine When She’s Gone,” but that’s technically soul, right? You said, rock or pop, so I came in meaning to vote for “Walking on Sunshine.” But “Ain’t No Sunshine When She’s Gone” is a lot groovier. “Sunshine of Your Love” is OK, and notable for being a Cream song that doesn’t simultaneously suck, blow, & bore me to tears.
