I’d go with [one of these.](http://castironlife.sourceforge.net/units/artillery/heavy/heavy7.html) On the other hand, if you expect trouble at extreme close range as opposed to extreme long range, you could go with a combat knife or short sword. It’s always loaded and it won’t jam. ---
