# Best Home Improvement message Board?

Getting ready to try and tackle the remodel of our basement (mostly by myself, if possible). Since the SDMB doesn’t have a forum for “Construction” (but boy do I wish it did!), I’m looking for someplace to bounce ideas and ask generally stupid questions. So- does anyone have a favorite general construction/remodeling message board? Most of the boards I have found seem to be either:

a)deserted (last post from 1994!)  
b) dedicated to a niche sub specialty  
c) inhabited by nice, but mostly clueless folks

There is a somewhat decent board at [thisoldhouse.com](http://thisoldhouse.com). Gardenweb has a pretty active community, but it seems to be inhabited mostly by people asking about design ideas, rather than construction.

So what’s you favorite?
