# Best jobs to take while going to college (You don't know when you'll be free next quarter to work)

I worked retail when I was at uni and they were very good about working around my schedule - they put my on as a permanent part timer which meant I got guaranteed hours and they didn’t have to pay me insane penalty rates for working on Saturdays (which they would have if I was casual).

It was a somewhat tiring basically having no weekend, but the job was low-stress and the money it brought in paid the rent and helped a lot with the cost of groceries and bills.
