> Got married there too! Mardi Gras day in front of the cathedral.
> Take the street car uptown and eat at Camille’s or Jacques-Imo’s. Take the ferry (free) from Canal across the river. Check out the WWII Museum. Mulate’s is average food, but they’re family friendly and have Cajun music. Go to Mona Lisa’s for pizza/Italian…ooops, this is Vegas thread 🙂

Love Camille’s and Jacques-Imo’s is my favorite restaurant in NOLA. Dat alligator cheesecake!

We had our wedding night dinner there. We got married across from Jackson Square up at the top of those stairs, the little monument area. It was fantastic.

Haven’t been to the other places on that list but will keep an eye out. From Chicago so no need for pizza/Italian though.

Ok, enough of the nola hijack. I’ll probably PM you.

> It actually kind of annoyed me how kid-friendly they are trying to make Vegas last time I went, so OP you should be fine. That was last year, btw. (Can’t we have ONE place just for adults? Must EVERY LAST PLACE be family friendly?) Anyway personal ire aside, it’s changed a lot.

We had a blast on the strip, watching the families walk along. Escort flyers blowing along the street with nekkid chicks on them, escort picture cards tacked to the poles, the little newspaper vending machines with Thrifty Hooker copies in them. Family vacation paradise!

I only stayed there once, and it’s been demolished since, but I liked the sign on the front door of the Stardust. It was something like “We are the last of the old time Las Vegas casinos. We are here for adults to enjoy themselves. Anyone under 21 should stay someplace else”.

And if you see either of [these guys,](http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/3214/3342/1600/20Fest2DuckDMark.jpg) run!
