Even though I’m a fairly devout Catholic, I HAVE to respect the old Green Mountain Boy, Ethan Allen. As he was lying on his deathbed, an attending clergymen tried to offer the usualy encouraging words. He said something to the effect that the chours of angels were waiting for him. In annoyance, Allen shot back, “Waiting, are they? Let them wait!” ---

Can’t remember where I heard this or who supposedly said it but the story is a man on his death bed gestures a friend close. When the friend leans in to hear the whisper the dying man touches him and says, “Tag, you’re it,” then dies. ---
