I’m in a long distance relationship right now(Boston to Minneapolis long)and my girlfriend and i are often telling each other that we heard a song that made us think of each other. So i decided to compile a bunch of these songs onto a tape and send them out to her. I have a pretty good list already but i was wondering what songs make you think of your significant other-from personal inside joke type songs to the more generic. Eric Clapton - Wondeful tonight Jim Croce- Have to say I love you in a song Percy sledge- when a man loves a woman Crash test dummies- the mmm mm mmm mm song Faith Hill-The way you love me Garth Brooks-Unanswered prayers Jewel- you were meant for me Those are some of mine any type of music works, so tell me, what songs make you think of her… or him. ---

Another LDR here, and my boyfriend and I do the same thing with the taped songs. A few we’ve included recently (it’s a little country-heavy because we listen to country and alt.rock, and country just has more love songs): Sara Evans – No Place That Far Lonestar – Amazed Metallica – Nothing Else Matters\*\* Kenny Chesney – Me And You Ricochet – Connected At The Heart Savage Garden – Crash And Burn Paul Brandt – That’s The Truth, and the song that goes “Baby I will I can I am I have… I do” (I think the title is I Do) \*\* Neither one of us knows whether this is actually a love song, but our interpretation of it is that as far as we are concerned, it is. “Never opened myself this way…Trust I seek and I find in you, every day for us something new…” ---

Dimming of the Day by Bonnie Raitt (also sung by Mary Black and some others but I like hers the best) Cowboys and Angels by George Michael Pure and Simple by the Lightning Seeds Once in Love with Amy by Ray Bolger from the musical Where’s Charley? You Can Sleep While I Drive by Melissa Etheridge but I like Trisha Yearwood’s version better All I Want Is You by U2 ---
