**The Persecution and Assassination of Jean-Paul Marat as Performed by the Inmates of the Asylum of Charenton Under the Direction of the Marquis de Sade** Maybe not the best, but certainly the longest. Also: **A Long Day’s Journey into Night** and **The Iceman Cometh**. Eugene O’Neill wrote some good titles (as well as some decent plays). ---

These titles are all balm for my soul, wounded from such titles as Gladiator, Titanic, Hoffa, Chaplin, Selena. (Yes yes, some of these are biographies, but we _can_ have interesting biography titles! See Man in the Moon, The Aviator, Coal Miner’s Daughter, etc.) Exceptions: Fargo (it’s not ABOUT Fargo), Amedeus (did we know it was his middle name BEFORE this movie?), Rocky (it wasn’t an annoying trend in 1976; see me later on sequels with numbers) Titles I love: Dangerous Liaisons Married to the Mob Gods and Monsters Smilla’s Sense of Snow (originally a book title) A Clockwork Orange ---

Ichi the Killer Happiness of the Katakuris Meet the Feebles Pulp Fiction Dr Strangelove or: How I learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb Brazil Naked Lunch Love and Death Pi Blazing Saddles Koyanisqatsi (Bite me, I love the overly pretenious title AND movie.) 2001: A Space Odyssey Delicatessan 12 Monkeys Falling Down Raising Arizona Harold and Maude Hamburger Hill Lolita Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (Does this even count?) Gigantic: A Tale of Two Johns This is Spinal Tap! These Kids are Alright The Filth and the Fury Pink Flamingos How to Draw a Bunny The Brave Little Toaster Tideland Waking Life Requiem for a Dream The Big Leboski Army of Darkness Next Stop Wonderland Buffalo '66 The Ice Storm Trainspotting Dancing at the Blue Iguana I’ll have to really think about it later I suppose. **Killer Clowns Form Outer Space**. They came down in Circus Tent UFO’s. They shot people with cottoncandy cacoon guns. They drank your blood with Krazy Straws. To kill them you had to break their noses. They are evil alien clowns. I mean come on here. This has to be the best movie EVAR!
