I like Lake Sissimanunu. The only problem is that it’s fictitious, the name having been created for an episode of _The Dick Van Dyke Show_. ---

Almost too many to think of in New Jersey. Sometimes it seems like 90% of towns and bodies of water come from mostly Lenape words. Some of my favorites: Ho-Ho-Kus Shamong Succasunna Piscataway Assiscunk Creek Watchung (everybody Watchung tonight) ---

(one of) the spanish versions of the eeny meeny miny moe rhyme is “En el lago Titicaca, una vieja haciendo caca, como no tenia papelito se limpio con el dedito y te lo chupaste tú” “At Lake Titicaca an old woman was pooping, since she didn’t have paper she cleaned herself with her finger and it (the finger) was suck on by you” ---

If it hasn’t been mentioned already, [Humptulips](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humptulips,_Washington) town and river in Washington has always been my snickering favorite. ---
