Damn near any movie in which Clint Eastwood wears a cowboy hat … particularly if it’s Italian (the movie, not the hat). ---

**Groundhog’s Day** : Apparently it’s a guy movie. A lot of men love it.(including me). Women don’t seem to get it. **Shane** : Okay, maybe he was a bit too pretty, and short. But he was fast. Fast on the draw. **Straw Dogs** : We men can relate to the nerd who gets picked on, but has a bear trap. Supposedly it’s deeper than that, but who cares? ---

I’ll have to say that pretty much anything by **John Carpenter** fits this category. Add to that **Dumb and Dumber** , **Top Gun** , any of the **Conans** , **BeastMaster** , and **Army of Darkness**. ---

You’re not a gurl, you’re a doperchick. 😛 I’m going to vote down _The Thing_, _The Fifth Element_, _Lawrence of Arabia_, _Dumb & Dumber_, and _Groundhog Day_ (no idea where you live that you can’t find a woman who likes Groundhog Day.) While these might be movies that universely attract men, they aren’t detestible to women and in fact liked by many. So far I would say that **mrsmith537** has the best list. Oh, and +_Animal House_. ---

I’ll nominate **Bullitt** for the bad ass Mustang/Charger chase seen. I’ll also put up, **Cool Hand Luke** , one of my all time favorite movies, because nothing says macho like sticking it to the man and eating 50 hard-boiled eggs for a bet. ---

I think that it has been pretty well established that **John Carpenter** does Guy Movie pretty much perfectly. So over the top and completely deadpan that I nearly wet myself laughing.
