Nothing really stands out for me but the song off this list that I associate _most_ with 1988 is Aerosmith’s “Angel.” So guess which one I voted for? ---

Interesting group: a lot of dreck, but a lot of tough competition at the top end. As much as I like _Hazy Shade_, I don’t like the cover all that much. It was between _Pour Some Sugar on Me_ and _Devil Inside_. The first I’d have definitely said should have been a bigger hit in 1988, but for me, today, I’d rather hear _Devil Inside_. Really close, though. ---

This was tough. I love Def Leppard with much love, but I enjoy “Devil Inside” as a song better than “Pour Some Sugar” so I went with INXS. ---
