Yes, indeed 1993 is when grunge reached it’s peak. To find those look at the Alternative Charts. It’s Hot 100 charts that were taken over by the hood.
I voted for the Spin Docs, but mostly because I heard “Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong” on the radio on my way to work and it made me absurdly happy.
“Ain’t nobody gonna bow no more when you sound your gong” … LOVE that line!
Wow, the #1 lists made me forget there was good music in the early 90s. Let me see…
Tag Team - Oh sweet sonny Jesus it’s stuck in my head again. This song was the bane of my eighth grade year.
Boyz II Men - Schmaltzy crap. Still hate 'em.
Snap! - A fun dancy song. I’ll still bounce around the house to this one.
Spin Doctors - I like this song. It’s a contender.
Arrested Development - I like this one, too. It’s part of my regular mp3 rotation.
Duran Duran - I love the Wedding Album and this song in particular. I still sing along to it.
PM Dawn - I know I liked this song, but it’s been so long since I listened to it I can’t remember anything about it.
And the winner is…
Soul Asylum - Great song, great video, and it’s held up very well.
Seriously. This album is a classic. One of the best of the 90s definitely.
