“If I Should Fall From Grace With God” from IISFFGWG by the Pogues

Funny, this was going to be my top pick, I remembered Gimme Shelter as being the first track on Let It Bleed. But when I googled the CD, Shelter was listed as track 4.
Just checked my old vinyl album–Gimme Shelter is the first track.
Opening tracks don’t get much better than Gimme Shelter.

I used to love how Elton John’s "Good bye Yellow brick Road " opened with “Funeral for a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding”.

Also I liked “Black Dog” on Led Zeppelin IV.

I like “The Hellion” on Judas Priest’s Screaming for Vengeance CD. Great prelude to “Electric Eye.”

Purple Haze from “Are You Experienced” by the Jimi Hendrix Experience. I’m talking about the 1967 US release of the album (apparently it wasn’t on the UK release. What WERE they thinking??:smack: ). Talk about an announcement that something new was in town!
