I have to be in Phoenix for business next week and won’t be home to watch the BCS championship with my gang here. My hotel will be in (or just outside) Tempe and am looking for a decent bar to watch the game. I suppose there are decent places near the university, but if ASU is back in session by that time, the bars around campus are probably going to be packed and thus, unacceptable for the old stuffy whitebread crowd that is likely to be joining me. ---

A very biased choice would be [Hail Mary’s](http://www.hailmarysonline.com/) in Tempe. It will be full of Ohio State fans. ---

Heh. I was gonna say Tempe Diablo Stadium, but I know it’s the wrong sport (and season)… 😉 ---

There used ot be a great Famous Sams right on Warner and McKlintock but it’s gone now. You can still go there it’s still a sports bar I’m just not ure of the name. The Dirty Drummer is not far from there and they have a mean Philly and T.V’s everywhere. Or you can go to Blue Moon down on Warner and Price, that is a great place.
