> [@Paintcharge](#): > > [Welcome to the Jungle.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o1tj2zJ2Wvg) Nothing like an old-school Axl scream. Also great in songs like [Live and Let Die](https://youtu.be/8AnRnl0AY0A?t=93) and [Breakdown.](https://youtu.be/VRXpL8mdgpQ?t=330) Also Zach de la Rocha has some great screams in songs like [Freedom](https://youtu.be/Xk2uObQDKtw?t=285). And Pantera, the energy is amazing there, love the scream at the end of [Fucking Hostile](https://youtu.be/E929gqIcwwI?t=147). ---

Speaking of Gillan, women and _Made in Japan_ - there’s also the [Tokyo\* one](https://youtu.be/b-ScDz4Vj98?t=235), which good ol’ Diamond Dave proceeded to rip off [here](https://youtu.be/Bl4dEAtxo0M?t=107). \*Apparently Blackmore completely disowned that number and never wanted to play it live. ---

Impressive. Yup, words definitely count as [yells](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3daMvR0NeG8) Even [AAAAAAAAA-HOOOOOOOs](https://youtu.be/3edi2Wkr5YI?t=14) [Plant’s longest?](https://youtu.be/HQmmM_qwG4k?t=215) My arrival at JFK back in '64 seemed to elicit a [curious response](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dOcYTOBA0CI) (yeah, we know who they’re screaming about, alright)😉 Perhaps safe to say a traumatized for life [scream](https://youtu.be/jD4BIUBEYJw?t=68) Halford as a [Hippy](https://youtu.be/Wvlq1F-X6Ko?t=128) ---

I think that we, as a society, reached a point where Margot Kidder couldn’t scream her head off as Lois Lane unless she first sold us on the fact that she’s great at her job as well as sensible to the point of being cynical: she’s not pretending to be sharp and brassy and no-nonsense; she _is_ sharp and brassy and no-nonsense. And then, with that established, she screams her head off. ---
