Best screaming

Not a bad impression, Id!; try this one:

I got a “video unavailable” message for that one.:frowning:
Was it this just getting warmed-up epic?

Sure, not bad. I might be more partial, though, to a more urban, less echo-ey, more abupt approach.

^ Why, YouTube, I oughta… .

The song was, “I’m Gonna Crawl,” from In Through the Out Door at roughly the 4:25 mark.

Any time Python throws someone out a window, it’s a good day! Then I start to froth at the mouth and fall over backwards, WHOOOA… >thump<.

Janis Joplin, Cry Baby

Jim Morrison – When The Music’s Over

The Birthday Party - Cry

The Jesus Lizard - Monkey Trick

And of course, the Calgonite Spotmaker (sure, somewhat feeble, but still classic in its weaselly/dastardly-yet-moribund futility)

Does a silent scream count or does it need audio?

If a silent one counts, I nominate Robin Williams in World’s greatest Dad.

Starts at about 0:50

Here’s annoying little Oscar from “The Tin Drum”.

Phil Anselmo’s outtro vocals on “Cemetary Gates”

Scream! by Ralph Nielson & the Chancellors. Crazy 1950’s garage rock.

The aptly named The Screamers.

And the one and only Screamin’ Jay Hawkins.

hmm…another head-scratcher.
Donald or Carl?

Can’t talk about screaming without bringing up The Sonics.

PTL Klub offer some fine stutter-screaming in This Town Sucks.

Saddened, I can’t find any clips anywhere about the Gumbys yelling about architecture.:frowning:

I’d like to register a vote for Mike Schank from American Movie.

Oh, come on! Into the second page already, and no one’s mentioned Chekov in the Agony Booth, at the hands of Kang, or on Ceti Alpha V??? For shame!

As for **“AIEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!” **nobody does that better than Hadji on JQ.

Saw these crazy dingbats in '94 - absolutely enlightening, cathartic, religious.

I bring you, The Boredoms*

The female vox even loopier?

*Another one of those beautiful “just-gettin-warmed-up” yells.

I think Daltrey’s screaming (or more accurately, howling) in “Love Reign O’er Me” made the song less effective than it could’ve been.

It was OK in “Won’t Get Fooled Again” though.

Probably alone in this camp, but I was always actually quite squicked-out by Daltry using the word “free” here, as a scream.

Damn - I completely screwed up my second Boredoms link.

Here, this should work better.

the Japanese have this thing going I wish I could understand.

And all the varieties of screaming, from the subdued to the batty to the startled (then infuriated!) by pain.
