Wake Up, it’s 1984 by Oingo Boingo “WAKE UP, won’t you listen to me? [repeat] WAKE UP, won’t you listen to me? WONT YOU LISTEN TO ME” i used that as my wakeup song on a tape player/alarm, and it never failed to wake me up. i wonder why 🙂 ---

If it is a nice day and I don’t have anything to do, _Backwater_ by the Meat Puppets is a great way to start the day. Two more good choices, again depending on the situation, would be _Good Morning_ or possibly _Sleep_, both by The Dandy Warhols ---

Another one just occured to me: “Imagine”, by John Lennon. I know that looks corny in writing, but the rest of your day is going to feel absolutely wonderful (surreal, too.) At least it was for me. Maybe I’m just a freak. ---

either “search and destroy” by Iggy Pop and the Stooges or if im in a particularly _kill the planet_ type moods then “mars, bringer of war” by Holst The only problem with that one is it takes it 9 years to get loud. ---

My ex used to wake up to The Beastie Boys’ _No Sleep Til Brooklyn_, really loud. He liked it. It annoyed the hell out of me though. ---

The Moulin Rouge version of **Roxanne**. Starts out really quiet so if I wanna I can just snooze it and catch a few more minutes, but it gets all loud and sexy quick. Helps to counteract the “even my eyebrows have bed-head” kind of morning feeling. ---
