Yah, it was Tunnel of Love off the Making Movies album, which should make this list in its entirety, as should almost anything Mark Knopfler has ever touched. Again, albums, not songs, but we’ve had good luck with some of Tori Amos’s stuff (the more bass- and loop-heavy material, like _From the Choirgirl Hotel_) and Radiohead’s _The Bends_. ---

Much depends on the mood and the commpany, but I have very fond memories of Ofra Haza’s _Kirya._ Also, the Rustavi Choir. Actually, the new Jack Johnson album, which I have on right now, wouldn’t be half-bad (_On and On_). All these are on the mellow side, though. Damn, now you’ve got my mind wanderig again… ---

Vote #1 for Van Morrison’s Moondance any male vocal with a deep raspy voice and a slightly hypnotic beat The Doors, Pink Floyd, some Meatloaf (only the cheesy stuff though!). Some Led Zeppelin. Mark Knopfler. Some Def Leppard. You get the general idea. And my Thunderstorm CD by Solitudes. I don’t know why, but instead of putting me to sleep, it starts me up. 😃 ---
