I am looking for a clip or whole song by Spike Jones that epitomizes his crazy style for which he’s remebered. Any SDopers have a favorite they recall? ---

William Tell Overture [Spike Jones William Tell Overture - YouTube](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BavRrRNvz8g) definitely highlights the crazy. My personal favorite is probably My Old Flame [Spike Jones My Old Flame - YouTube](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9D2A32KUTq0) ---

I was also going to mention “My Old Flame” and “The William Tell Overture”. “The Man on the Flying Trapeze” is pretty good, too. ---

I have never, ever, even in the worst mood of my life, listened to Spike Jones’s “[Holiday for Strings](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ar_v-SIeh8w)” without laughing. “[Der Fuhrer’s Face](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I1583adUqSg&list=PL01377D6E64E9D5AC&index=3&feature=plpp_video)” also amuses me at times. ---

I’m very fond of [None but the Lonely Heart](http://www.ibras.dk/comedy/spike1.htm#LonelyHeart) and also [Laura](http://www.elyrics.net/read/s/spike-jones-lyrics/laura-lyrics.html) because my mother had a 78 of that, and it was my introduction to Spike. I like the other ones mentioned also - I have way too many Spike CDs.
