My first thought upon reading the thread title, was “duh…Oreos…” Then I read the OP, and thought “Fig Newtons…damn…” followed by "Oooh…Ginger Snaps…yumm… and for pure simplicity, 'Nilla Wafers…" Now I want a cookie. ---

I was always meh about Oreos. I was a Hydrox fan. They’re not Hydrox, but Aldi’s version is darn good. ---

Why oh why do I love the hard-as-particle-board **Iced Oatmeal Cookies** that you can buy at the Dollar Store? You have to dunk them in really strong coffee to soften them enough to bite ('cause, particle board). ---

Oreo double-stuffs, which I haven’t tasted in years. [Wafflettens](http://bahlsen.us/waffeletten.php), which you usually only see in German import stores but sometimes American grocery stores carry them. They’re a rolled sheet of paper-thin crispy cookie, and one end of the roll is dunked in bittersweet chocolate. Get thee behind me, Wafflettens! ---
