# Best Time To Take Down The Christmas Tree?

Usually the weekend after New Year’s.

So I guess I know what I will be doing next Saturday/Sunday.

However, as I mentioned in another thread, the winds were so high today (over 40 mph) that half of our outdoor decorations came crashing down, so I just kept them down and put them in the garage. Should make next week’s job a little faster and easier - thanks wind!

To all of you who take down your tree on the 26th:

This is a grim Calvinist act. You are all Scrooges. Do you also eat cold oatmeal all day and dress in a burlap sack? I’ll bet on New Year’s Eve you hand out hellfire tracts to revelers, then by 9 you’re home to a dark house, a meager ration and a hard bed.
